Review of Bitten by Kelley Armstrong

Bitten (Women of the Otherworld, #1)Bitten by Kelley Armstrong

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed this book. It's about the only female werewolf in existence and her fight to live a normal life away from the Pack. She's called back to the Pack for help because they need her expertise. Elena loves her Pack family, but she'd still rather return home to Toronto and her boyfriend.

The thing that really pulled me towards this novel is the fact that it's urban fantasy, but also that it's an adult novel (as in not Young Adult). So it's not only an exciting new world with werewolves, but it's also sexy, smart and relate-able. Kelley Armstrong built a strong character in Elena by showing us not only her current view of the happenings around her, but also using flashbacks into Elena's and other character's lives. Throughout the novel you will find yourself afraid of, rooting with, or sympathizing for Elena and her Pack family; perhaps even the villains of the story. This book had my heart racing at times, and then breaking at others. It's quick paced and never boring and I found it hard to put down.

Anyone looking for a good urban-fantasy read that appeals to adults and that they may also be able to relate to, then this is the one for them. Highly recommended!

I can't wait to start the sequel, Stolen!

My license to kill was revoked... problems at the Kazakhstan border. I could give you the details but than I'd have to kill you which I can't do because my license to kill was revoked.
